Through the paper one will be able to understand whether such strategy is effective or it leads to a complete failure. The company chosen here is Apple Inc. The paper gives an overview about the company and its products. About the Company and Its Products: Apple Inc is a multinational company found by Steve Jobs in the year 1986 based in Cupertino, California. The company develops, designs and sells primarily consumer electronic products (Apple). The company also develops various online services and computer software. The hardware products include iPhone, Mac personal computer, iPad, iPod, Apple TV, Apple Watch and smart speakers. Apple software however includes operating systems like macOS and iOS, media players like iTunes, Safari web browser, the productivity and creativity suites like iLife and iWork along with professional applications that includes Final Cut Pro, Xcode and Logic Pro. Apple represents the largest company in the world in terms of information technology with a valuation of around US$700 billion. Apples Trading Strategy for iPhone: Apple has always shown a profit in its trading shares over the years but the trend seems to likely break in the present years. This is because the launch of iPhone 8 has shown a slower sale of smart phone, decline of growth at the higher end, limited penetration of market share in the emerging markets and elongation of the refresh cycles of the smart phone thereby affecting those who bought stocks based on anticipation trade (Khan et al.). Moreover, hard times overlook the iPhone sales in the developed markets of United States and Europe due to saturation of ownership. On the other hand, developing markets like India and China also shows a trend towards cheaper phones. Conclusion: The paper ends with a discussion on how the trading strategy for iPhone will prove to be ineffective in future years.
